Considering the two detectives in the future are asking the Woody Harrelson character to talk about how Cole handled the case.

That's kinda what they're telegraphing. You'd like to think that the show is smarter than that though.

I wonder though will there be a reveal in later episodes where it'll show previous scenes such as where Cohle finds the small sculpture in the trailer park shed, except this time it's him planting it there and then calling Woody Harrelson over.
Or it'll show Cohle preaching or being a member in that burnt out church.

I'm also wondering how much the story travels beyond the present day interviews???????

It can't be McConaughey. That would be shit. I think they’re using that as a false trail. Apparently the plot goes completely off the rails (in a good way) in the fourth episode. The guy who wrote it is a crime writer so he should know that everyone would be able to guess that ahead of time.
