I'll sum it up in one word: obligation.

I'll sum it up in one word: obligation.

For me it is a bit more complex than that. Never kept it with my family - not part of our traditions - and didn't miss it. Celebrated it with other families I was part of (boyfriend's family or whatever) and never once enjoyed it no matter how much I tried to. It seems to bring out the worst in (some/many) people.

Will be spending Christmas this year with my husband's family and there is an increasing sense of dread building, just based on past experiences.

By all means we should wish one another a Happy Christmas...

13 I hate that people who can't hold there booze try to keep up with those who can and say things like tis the fucking season and then end up a vomitting wreck who stops the real drinkers from getting into that casino/strip club/ party where you might have actually managed to get some christmas cheer by forgetting the whole pathetic excuse for a ho;iday and getting down to some good old fashioned moaning.
