My baby's too young (11 weeks) to be singing along to shiz yet but when she was in my belly she used to go nuts when I was listening to John Fahey. Also, while we were feeding the last day I had the Boss on in the background and when the harmonica of Tom Joad came in, she stopped feeding -eyes went wide and she started looking around to see the sound. So maybe the Brucie thing runs in the family. Hope so.

And I would wistfully stare at the black chix with the tended 'fros wearing the gold bikinis on the inlay, thinking impure thoughts.

I was about 7 at the time or something. Never thought to bring that one up in confession funnily enough.

iron maiden was my first love

putting a monster on album covers definitely had a huge impact on the sale of boot runners and sweatbands

Oh yeah. And Sabrina's boys boys boys video.

A lot.

My folks told me that I used get my dad to put on the 7" of Issac Hayes - Theme from Shaft over and over and over until he had to pretend the record player was broken.

First album I bought myself:
Adam & The Ants - Kings of the Wild Frontier.
Bought it after hearing Ant Music in the roller disco in the Star in Crumlin.
Still an amazing album.

Neil Young, bit of the Beatles, Christy Moore and Mary Black.
So much Mary Black.

C+W, the same stuff they still play on Shannonside 104.1. with the "Bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bombombom bom" basslines.

pretty much anything that got the Zig and Zag seal of approval.

Used to listen to an Elvis LP at 45 rpm until the needle broke.

Michael Jackson "Bad" was my first album.

i used to listen to this muppets show vinyl we have. everyday.
also, my irish dancing records.

my brother made me listen to queen and iron maiden.
my sister made me listen to ub40.
my other sister made me listen to enya.
my mam made me listen to dolly parton.
and my dad made me listen to the eagles.
