I think todays to be the coldest day of this snap. It'll be shit cold tomorrow too, a little better sunday, before the big 'xmas heatwave of 2011' moves in on monday.

always used to find laois colder than dublin, and hotter in the summer - think its the relative humidity. laois is a damp oul county

I'll have to interject and say that I've ben finding the opposite.I was in Dublin this week and it was wayy horribler weather-wise than my beloved Portarlington.
But my folks had the central heating on so it was grand.Its a two jumper situation at home here.

ootini might be in luck yet.

Its gonna hit around 10-12 degrees for a lot of next week, but there are signs now that xmas day could see us go back to what we have now.

though on the news last nite Evelyn was giving +8 degrees for xmas day.

So while I reckon the chances are still worse than 50-50 they're better than they looked yesterday.
