It's a very metal by dimarzio, kinda distortion/fuzz type yoke. Not very metal sounding at all either. Sounds great on guitar with the odb3 in front of it.

The blue one is a Tech 21 VT Bass which is their Ampeg SVT/B15 emulator/preamp. I use it around the B15 setting. It's pretty similar to the sansamps but sounds better. It doesn't have a di out on it but it does put out enough signal to drive a power amp properly which is why I bought it.

I've read good stuff about that supercollider, seems to be really popular with bassists.
