That would be the Forlan who went had a reputation for going ages without scoring, but during that time most of his appearances were 5 minutes on the wing, and then scored for 7 consecutive games once he got a starting run. Most clubs would be happy enough with one of those.

Also he had the occasional wardrobe malfunction.

he's clearly no joke player, but it was also hard to break into that team. if he'd gone to middlessbra as originally planned, he's have played every game and scored a few goals, at united it was ruud scoring two every game. if diego didn't match that, he'd be back out of the team. he never looked comfortable in england, never played the way he did in spain. s'funny, fergie that one wrong. i always felt he was nicking off mcclaren to remind schteve who the top dog was, and then didn't really know what to do with him.
