that's basically what I'm doing. it'll be worth it. there's always the risk that the rest of the summer will be irredeemably shit; why take that risk when you can grab that one guaranteed ray of sunshine? probably literally.

going on the 6pm flight on Thursday night, should make Barcelona for 9.30, hotel for 11/12, should make the forum by 1/2. Is it worth getting the 3 day ticket @ €145, or would I be better off taking it easy on the Thursday and get 2 one day tickets @ €120

Last time I checked flights were 210, tickets 145 and 4 nights anywhere from 350+ for a hotel close by the venue. Providing you were sharing the accommodation, add in transportation, eating and drinking....I'd say at least 700-750. Hotels and flights keep going up. Every time I check it's more. It's making me very sad.

you're flying from cork right? flights from cork vary from €100 to €150 at the moment, depending on when you go exactly.

my costs so far: 145 euro for flight, 155 for ticket (fuck, i really need to buy one BEFORE the 15th) and 285 for apartment (staying the full week, we got a 3 bed apartment in the borne area).

The area around the festival isn't that nice. Much better off staying closer to the city centre. Getting there is only a metro journey. They put on extra busses too.
