Don't try and meet up with lots of people. Don't try and do something in another far-away part of London on the same day, takes aaaages to get out. Don't bring anything you wouldn't want nicked/ wear anything you wouln't want wrecked.

Do embrace your inner Rasta. Do bring some sunscreen and rain protection. Do bring some jacks roll if you're female. Do have some fresh coconut juice straight from the coconut, and do go back to the stall and ask them to chop it up for you afterwards.

Playing any tunes anywhere soon?

Nah, Sunday afternoon club isn't happening any more, planning another one soon though. No Nuns/ Nanny Maze gigs til September.

Back to the subject of Notting Hill, if you've ever seen Performance (Nic Roeg film with Mick Jagger and James Fox), the exteriors were all filmed around there. Powis Square is where Turner's groovy pad was.

Carnival is the only time when that area resembles the way you'd imagine it was in the 60s, it's Poshville the rest of the time. Mind you, it's great seeing all the hoity toity yahs having their beautiful streets invaded by the riff raff :D
