Hah! That animal, no, he's just some thing they put in the promotional photograph, but that immobiliser is some crush!

The other type of crush though, only had one really bad one, a few years ago. It was terrible. Immobilising in fact.

I could actually sense when the object of it was nearby even if I hadn't consciously seen or heard him. I'd feel flushed, short of breath, really self-conscious and shy all of a sudden. Butterflies in the stomach, the works. And if we talked I couldn't manage to say anything even remotely sensible - which isn't totally removed from how I normally am, but at least I can usually finish my sentances.

Very embarrassing.

Crushes can be pretty awful...I remember as a teenager having one for years on a boy who I eventually became friends with. Then he tried to set me up with his brother and it broke my poor little heart.

Then developed a crush on my now boyfriend and must have sounded like a lunatic everytime I spoke to him. My heart would beat really fast and I'd get really confused and forget what I was saying. Awful awful stuff..

I've never had one that like. Usually when I say "I have a crush" it's a joking thing -- like a movie or rock star. Oh and I crush out on dogs. I squeal and giggle so I guess that's the closest I get.

My first real girlfriend was someone who had had a crush on me. It was bizarre the way she acted around me, all flustered and sweaty. I didn't mind though, she chilled out when she got to know me.
