Can anyone recommend some movie editing programs, preferably for free to download ? Have a mac computer

Have iMovie on my computer but aint sure if thats up to scratch

There just isnt a lot of free stuff out there better than imovie unless you have the current imovie which is just limited.
The next step up on the apple is final cut express 4, i know you said free im just dishing out options. It can be used for professional editing with your idvd already on your apple to author dvds. Can be brought for a mere 199 euro.
Apart from going the slippery road of non legal copies. which im sure nobody condones, but if you did go that route you cant update or upgrade. apple is a stickler for the detail!
