And brit-pop is part of alt rock/indie and video views are not the be all and end all of what is deemed relevant.

No history of the 80's is complete without Sonic Youth and The Pixies neither of which sold a great amount of records just like MBV.

As fascinating as all of that is, for the purposes of my throwaway joke I've been writing my own annals and here at Lili's Alt-Rock History we only record objectively, based on sales. The Cranberries parent album sold 17 million copies worldwide and that's all that matters. None of those bands cut it I'm afraid. Hopefully you can take some solace from the fact that your feedback has been noted.
