any update on this?

elder abuse?

I called on Friday afternoon. I told the guard the story and was told that if it's her money she can do that if she wants. I said I understood that entirely but it felt like something was going on, I did use the phrase "elder abuse" and fraud as well. Only then did they say to give them the license number and they were about to hang up when I said that by the way it was x branch in y town.

Felt a little fobbed off TBH but my conscience is clear that I at least tried to help out if something is up.

For the last few months, I've taken to getting up early so I can take my dog to the local lake and let him run around. It has become the highlight of my day. As he runs around, I take a few minutes to just stand, observe the season changing and listen to the birds, and appreciate the stillness. I frequently whip out my Merlin app to identify unknown bird calls. It is all very peaceful and pleasant.

Now, a couple of bastard swans have set up a nest on the walkway, without any consultation or consideration for me and my dog.

I'm thinking of starting a petition to send to my local council.

Someone stole my 21mm spanner. Perhaps I misplaced it, but I'm more than 90% sure that guy took it. And I know which guy it was. And that goon wouldn't know a scaff clamp from a cheeseborough. Not that I do either, but that's not the point. I need this specific tool and he doesn't.

This happened days ago and it's still on my mind, so it is worthy of chronicle.

A single spanner costs about the same as a whole set. I don't need a whole set. Annoyed and let down by assholes.

If only he understood that I am not actually a millionaire, nor have a company credit card, which is a common misconception with these lads.

He has (afaik) two perfectly good wanking spanners on the end of his wrists, and here he is stealing my misery spanner.
