not TOTALLY relevant, but on my fender Bassman i have 2 normal inputs and 2 bright inputs - guitar into one of the normals, short lead between the other normal and one of the bright inputs and pow - extra drive.

i would think your case might be similiar, but i could be wrong.

sounds similar...must try it out later
i have 2 'bright' switches as well

it's like that but i have a volume knob before the first 3 (b/m/t)

so go -
G1 -> B1
G2 -> B2

or cross over? or does it matter?

plug your axe into Guitar input #1 - then, connect Guitar Input #2 and Bass Input #1 (or 2, doubt it matters) - then crank up both channels volume. that's the only way i could picture it working.

but don't do this unless you're absolutely sure you're not gonna kill yourself or fry your head or cab. like i said, it works with my Bassman - Marshall head is a different beast.

mines a fender bassman
i've only ever seen it done on marshalls

cheers thanks
ahhh, i was confused mightily there for a second. i thought you were asking if you could do it with Marshalls.

my bassman is the combo, not a head/cab deal, by the way.

you should be ok - good luck.

from left to right -

2 normal inputs, 2 bright inputs, 1 normal volume knob, 1 bright volume knob, bass knob, mid knob, treble knob, presence knob, ground switch, standby switch, on/of switch.

sorry, hadda do that to remember - it's been a while since i played it.

would be nice to have a master volume - i'd crank those sub-volumes all the way up if i did...as it stands, i can only crank them to about 5 each before windows start shattering.

I tired in on my Bassman 100, (like the one in the picture) before but I don't think it likes it, there was a lot of extra hiss coming through the speakers (when I wasn't playing). Might try it again though, but then again I'm very happy with how it sounds.

tried it last night briefly
didn't notice any extra hiss - it definitely affected the tone...not sure if it gave any more gain though...will try it out proper over the weekend

5? i don't think i ever got past 3 or 4 with that amp. loudest guitar amp i've ever used.
she's a beast alright. can you believe i still haven't gotten around to getting the tubes replaced? i should be ashamed of myself.

yeah, i think you notice more of a tonal difference than a gain difference. seems to make it louder as well.

aye that's it - did you nick mine!?
i'll buy you a pint and smash it out of your hand if you hook me up!
