Lost Series 5 (2 Viewers)

ah ok, a plot device to justify carrying something exceptionally heavy around a tropical jungle in order to keep the viewer intriguied

it was great to see the driveshaft ring again - a classy bit of costume design

one ring to rule them all

i had no idea what the fuck that was.

So, alright, do you reckon Jacob is actually the bad dude and the other guy at the start is the good dude? I have no idea whats going on and I want it all super dumbed down so I can follow it. The whole season was so fucking dumbed down and then at the end it got complicated again.

i really hope not, at this late stage anyway - introducing 2
seemlingly "game changing" characters with only 16 episodes
left? i hope stuff with these guys plays out a bit more naturally. ie
- the good guy is good and the bad guy is bad...not some ever
changing twist shit. when you consider how muddled and
unexplained the ben / widmore/eloise dynamic has become....and
now these "shadow of the statue" people - what a mess!

i can't really even get my head around how this guy from
deadwood created his "loophole" - i mean i see what he did, but..
ugh!?!

lot of internet people talkin about god/satan christian archetypes,
which i can't really get into with all egyptian imagery they just
casually throwing around.

anyway, i'm gonna get into this The Mad Man show now. drinkin
booze, smokin cigs and doggin broads - that's some real life shit

all that shit with jacob encouraging the black rock to arrive on the
island and the "bad guy" being pissed over it, saying all they do is
destroy, fight, corrupt blah balh...that didn't even sit in with the
idea of him being the bad guy...

who knows. does this mean i have to read flannery o'connor now?
naww...

and did jacob bring locke back to life when he got thrun out a
window? why did he visit 3 people pre-island and 2 people after
the island?! anyway, whatevs, they'll probalby just make hurley
the king of everything and he's just that guy who was selling weed
in that one episode of curb your enthusiasm. !?!? we are
everybody

Ok so,
alledged bad guy posing as John Locke tells Richard Alpert to tell the real John Locke to leave the island and die so that he can get the Oceanic 6 back to island and so that they will bring John Locke's corpse back to the island so that the fake John Locke can pretend to be the reanimated corpse of John Locke so that he can tell Richard Alpert to tell the real John Locke that he has to die and so that he can come back to the island as a corpse so that the he(the bad guy) can pretend to be the reanimated corpse of John Locke so that BEN can kill Jacob.

Yeah I think Im just gonna watch Seinfeld.

Ah no, I always hate it. Exceptions being when Juliet is on screen and when Desmond gets his own episode and five minutes of island mythology that involve none of the characters regularly in the show.

I actually liked the Rose and Bernard bit more than anything else.

Oh yeah and why the bad guy isn't the bad guy.
Jacob let's Sayid's wife die but not Sayid, pretty much encourages Kate to steal, encourages Sawyer on his path to vengeance(I'm pretty sure he could have gotten a pen elsewhere though). Ah it's shit who am I kidding.

Jacob touched all of the main characters apart from Juliet.
So I reckon that makes them all 'destined' to go to the island,
making them the constants in Faraday's equations.
But because Juliet wasn't visited by Jacob, that makes her the
variable and she detonated the bomb which never happened in
the original Incident.
Jack always threw the bomb down the well and that was what
the failsafe key in the Swan activated.
I think the next season is going to be about time loops like Bill
Murray in Groundhog Day.
I can't believe how this show really brings out the nerd in
everyone.
Angry, frustrated, confused and enthralled nerds.

That all sounds well and good and intelligent but the way you explain it so much more interesting than how the storytelling in the show unfolds.

the shootout was actually like something from V: the mini series

"don't shoot - i am holding a thermo nucl....."

- Ohhhhhh what ya sayyyyy -

V is fairly rubbish by the way - i love it and all but it's hardly "great"

I mean the re-imagined version, which Juliet will be in. Guess she is dead so.

Lost nerds are saying that they reckon they filmed her flashback from the last episode with Jacob in it but they edited out that part for tv. So basically if V takes off Juliet is dead, if V bombs they'll re-show her flashback with Jacob in it and she won't be dead.

Maybe a version of Locke has been time-travelling ever since the Swan explosion in season 1. He could have bumped into Jacob on the island during his travels, as they seemed to have a bit of history when they met in this season's finale.

:confused::confused::confused:

That's not Locke. That's yer man who was talking to Jacob at the start of the episode. Locke is dead.

Probably. Maybe. Oh, who cares?

I hope Juliet ends up wearing the same sort of costume that Diana used to wear in the series of V (not the Mini-Series).
