Observation: would I be right in saying that the majority of people who have posted on this thread saying they have IBS are female? That's interesting cos everyone I know who has it is female too...wonder why that is?

I know another friend of mine who has it said it was connected to her periods. I'm sure there is a higher percentage of females from what I hear and read about it and I did a lot of reading. I was paranoid for so long that it was a made up thing and I should just stop whinging. I was also like this when I twisted my ankle that it wasnt really that painful and later paid for it severely.

But yeah I do know one boy who has it worse than anyone I know. Hes sisters also have it however
