my main grief was setting up a bank account for my wages to be paid into. banks like the Abbey said I had to be resident for 12 months etc.

i eventually got an account with Bank of Ireland in Luton and they would only set up the account as a favour because i was a BoI customer in ireland. and i had be earning over a certain amount etc.
