I'm thinking of going for a weekend soon?

anyone been? I'm finding it difficult to get gig listings/good venues etc.

thank-you

Yeah, there's a few human rights organisations, the WTO, the patent office. Good times.

It's meant to be a great place, but that's all I know about it.

i was there in august. very picturesque. but not a whole lot to do.

-lots of crazily expensive chocolate shops.
-there's a little square in the centre with some nice places to eat.
-the back streets near the university have the cheapest bars/cafes (most of the ones in main areas are quite seedy and seem to aim for business men out on the prowl). there was one deadly bar (i'd have to look up the name), the decor was very clockwork orange and they were playing electro/indie when we were there.
-most people have long term travel passes for the tram so payment is on an honour system. if you're broke this means free travel.

highlights of the trip: the solar powered mini train, the view from the big church in centre, tour of the UN.

I hated it. Contrary Swiss people pissed off at me for speaking German, too many shops selling €20k watches, not a whole lot to do. Lovely view of the lake though.
