I love watching live stuff from this period. He looks great - so healthy and happy. I imagine him thinking - "yeah, I've done more amazing stuff than anyone else can even conceive of doing and now I'm going to enjoy singing a whole bunch of these incredible songs with a completely deadly band".

I think Sterling Campbell - Drum Solo Artist has been his main drummer in recent years, but there's another guy, Zachary Alford, on The Next Day as well. Not sure who's on what tracks though without looking it up.

“Hot Tramp, I love you so,” sang David Bowie on his 1974 hit single, Rebel Rebel.

Well I once had the misfortune to catch the stale odour of a hot tramp drying himself up under the hand dryer in a London underground station toilet. The stench was overpowering and I couldn’t get away quickly enough. I certainly wasn’t going to sing his praises to the whole world.
