I reckon it's a bit sentimental. Worth seeing for Dern's supressed wireyness. Too sacharrine.
'Cutter's Way' - brilliant film, although some seem to find the ending ridiculous.
I liked that bite that Jon Voight gave in Seinfeld though...
Voight was jettisoned from Cassavetes' 'Love Streams' after insisting that he direct the film version. You don't argue with that guy.
