It's a lot easier when you're working with the quality those guys have available.

not to mention the fact that they fucked up with that quality available to them. holland were a sad joke in the last world cup, they also threw away euro 2000 under rijkaard and klinsmann made numerous silly and some major mistakes before finally swallowing his pride just before the world cup. he's lucky he didn't have to qualify... lets not pretend you can walk into the job. in extreme cases, like beckenbauer you can. need i point out that stan ain't no kaiser?

i agree with dunphy..

Rijkaard and Van Basten at least had some managerial experience, although not at the highest level, before they started. (one as a coach for holland, the other managing the ajax b team or something)

also the knvb and dfb are not the fai. they want to suceed.
