I think it'd be great if either Aphex Twin or U2 win. It might turn this award into something properly meaningful.

And I don't mean any disrespect to former winners because, for the most part, the albums that have won have been grand and all.

Best thing about the choice has always been when Large Mound were readying their second LP. They realised it was about 30 seconds too short to be considered for the awards, so they added a track of one them drinking a cup of tea in the middle of it.
