Capello (1 Viewer)

I'm delighted Capello's gone, as I was worried he might make England do well in the Euros. He was well-organised and got on with the players. They will be shite as usual now, hopefully!

Fair play to Capello. Even more kudos if he's walked away without a payoff. Whatever about the merits of the FA's decision he felt he was undermined and walked. You get the feeling everyone is happy, though, because 'Arry can now take over and would be a popular coach with players and fans.

Capello was smart to go now. The english media have been on his back for the past year or two. All the talk has been about how the next manager has to be british, and this chat has been going on since he got the job so they haven't cared how good a job he's been doing. He was gonna be gone after the euros no matter what so he's better off getting out now rather than waiting for englands inevitable defeat on penos in the quarter final.

I just thought of something that I can't believe I never thought of before: how AMAZING would it be to have Roy Keane on twitter?

Capello's a prat and was a shite manager for England. He may feel he should have been consulted, and he may well know best what the effect of Terry's impending court case would have in the dressing room (in which case he should have removed Terry himself, but I'm not even sure he was going to do that), and he's right that man is innocent till proven guilty, but the bottom line is that the FA rules stipulate that the FA has unilateral authority to remove a captain whose integrity has been called into question. And this crybaby runs to media talking about being undermined? Read the rules dickhead.
Frankly, I think he saw an out four montsh before the end of his contract. 'Thanks for all the money and best of luck with real work of competing in the Euros'.

Capello acknowledged in the interview that he did with Rai that the FA had the right to take the captaincy away on ethical grounds.

I know the perfect man to take over the England job in this time of crisis:
