anyway, best albums, including some from December 2014 since I had already written my list by then last year:

0. The Kendrick Lamar album because it has to be on every list
1. Lady Lamb - After
2. D'angelo - Black Messiah
3. Tove Styrke - Kiddo
4. Charli XCX - Sucker
5. Lonelady - Hinterland

Best gigs:

1. Grace Jones at Electric Picnic
2. Lady Lamb at Grand Social
3. Ezra Furman at the Academy
4. Sleater-Kinney in Vicar Street
5. Shamir at Electric Picnic (1st gig only!)

Kudos to Prince for releasing probably the weakest album of his career (y)

I don't know any of these except for DAngelo. I'm so out of touch and I'm totally ok with that.

Oh, it's just stuff I like, I wouldn't really say a lot of it is in touch with the yoof or popular culture in general.

Here, I made a playlist, broken into two ten track playlists:

I haven't heard anything this year that interests me. And stuff like Sufferin' Stevens I haven't even listened to. I don't have time or energy for new music any more. It's fucking tragic. What should I listen to? What was good? Not Joanna "Fucking" Newsome, because she gives me an aneurysm and makes me puke up my own pelvis. I'm allergic to twee as well.So that seems to rule out nearly everything these days.

what about, ummm...

yeah i don't give a crap anymore either

i bet rihanna's new album is great, i should listen to that
