Best Gig/Album/Song of 2015 (1 Viewer)

Jack White and Robert Plant doing Led Zep was memorable at Lolla AR. St Vincent and Smumpkins also brilliant.

A place to bury strangers and DFA1979.

All Things Under Heaven favourite album.

I haven't heard anything this year that interests me. And stuff like Sufferin' Stevens I haven't even listened to. I don't have time or energy for new music any more. It's fucking tragic. What should I listen to? What was good? Not Joanna "Fucking" Newsome, because she gives me an aneurysm and makes me puke up my own pelvis. I'm allergic to twee as well.So that seems to rule out nearly everything these days.
I wrote a few posts about it just above your post there, even included a link to a playlist I made of music.

I must have a listen to that Kendrik Lemar album, Although I'm not much into rappers.

Add:
The 2 albums released this year by King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard - Quarters & Paper Maché Dream Balloon. Not earth shattering but enjoyable listens, especially PMDB.

Haven't listened to Kendrick Lamar yet his bass player Thundercat look's a bit interesting

Be interesting to compare that to their actual list alright.

Couldn't get into that Miguel album at all : (

I'm not middle class enough to have working class fantasies, it just sounds like a shit Fall to me.
The Fall are quite adept at being shit themselves. It's not like its a market that needs filling.

@Lili Marlene Well done on the play list. There's not much that jumps out of me, but a couple of daycent bits there. Maybe music isn't dead since 1985 after all.

Ah, no. It is. We know it.

Album wise: I loved the new Sleater-Kinney, Courtney Barnett, Gama Bomb, Julia Holter, Alabama Shakes, Legendary Shack Shakers, Girlpool, Waxahatchee, Mutoid Man, Alison Weiss, Elder, Black Dahlia Murder albums.
I also loved the Yes n yes n yes Ep by Fierce Mild

Gig of the year? I went to a lot of gigs this year. Way more than any other year in recent memory. The ones that really stick out are Slipknot, The Lone Bellows, Mutoid Man, Deerhoof, Fucked Up, Gama Bomb supporting Nuclear Assault, Manic Street Preachers, Despacio and Girlpool at EP and Torche.

Dammit Sleepy, i'd forgotten both the Manics at EP and Tune-yards, they were indeed both excellent gigs!
