Firstly the reference to Tuilio was after seanc referred to him in the present tense before the post was edited.

Someone getting paid to eat a meal and then write about it has zero value IMO.
The person could be a fine writer but the are just expressing an opinion on a meal they ate.

When I was about 15/16 a nice English teacher read out an Irish Times article where Helen Lucy Burke reviewed a meal at Dublin Zoo restaurant as a class exercise.
It was a rubbish article and the meal cost £35 circa 1991.

I am 49 if you do the maths. My opinions haven't changed a massive amount in the last few decades.
