Any ideas? I believe it's age/timing dependent. Younger they are the less they get, later the hour the more expensive. What do you reckon?

My niece babysits. Average time is from 7.30pm - 1am, looking after 2 kids. €30 - €50 depending on how drunk we are or if we have change.

I thought 20 or 30 was the norm. Never had to pay for one though.
Can you work something out with friends where you take their kids one week and they take them the next one?

Our babysitter charges about €8 an hour. We give her a little bit more if we are hellishly late/drunk when we get home.

i used to get a tenner for the night and take away a cocktail in a plastic bottle of a measure or so from every bottle of spirits in the house as a perk

I used to get €10 an hour back around 2001-3, plus my taxi home. They had 4 kids though, so you worked for it.
