Are the reformed Slint worth going to see? (1 Viewer)

Todd Cook wasn't playing bass? He did a great job filling in I thought.

Are they still a five-piece?

Yeah, it was very disconcerting watching Slint when it was bright last Sunday.
Woulda been much more suitable if they'd switched with The Books on the Saturday night...that slot didn't suit them either! After the triple-whammy of Les Savy Fav/Battles/Cornelius.

They were still totally amazing and ultra-precise, but for Brian McMahon it looks like it's the last place he wants to be.
I kept waiting for him to go "AAH, I DON'T DO THIS SHIT ANY MORE" and walk off, a la Gary Barker in KMKYWAP.

So anyways, I went to see them and they were good. Note perfect and all but man I don;t know how they stand so still when they are rockin some of those HEAVY riffs though. It's a bit po-faced for my liking.

Went to Brant Bjork the other night and frankly he whupped their ass, cos he rocked out and enjoyed himself.
