Minor complaints thread (7 Viewers)

i coughed and now my back is sore

2 weeks ago my son knocked a bottle off the table with the 'someone elses problem' attitute only a 7 year old can muster. Bending down angrily to pick it up I popped my back.

for about 10 days I was unable to sit for more that 10 minutes without my hips locking up to such an extent I could barely get back up. pains gone but still serious reduction in flexibility

I bought this guy's starter plan.

Some day I might actually do it

Found out yesterday that the venue we had booked for music and pints after our wedding ceremony has double booked. They’re saying we never booked at all actually, even though we paid a deposit and booked the place well over a year ago and met with them about it afterwards too.
The wedding is in under two weeks.

Currently scrambling to get something else sorted, but it’s starting to feel like maybe getting married on Friday the 13th wasn’t my brightest idea ever.

Fuuuck. Will you at least get your money back?

They’re saying we never paid so we’re getting a bank statement to prove it.
They’ve now said they’ll fit us in and work around stuff but that’s bollox. I don’t want to give money to someone I don’t like or trust.

The Grand Central have been brilliant today and we’re going there now instead. Crisis averted

How’s this a “minor” complaint?!

The world feel like it’s on fire right now. Really no matter how the celebration goes we’ll still be married, safe and happy together.

The amount of money being spent on one day is messed up. Now we’re cutting out what parts we can, and making a donation to Trans Harm Reduction and Palestine instead.

Also the 10Gig card i got doesn't do 2.5G so i have to stick with the old one until the new router arrives

ALEXA - WHAT ARE FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS?

99% certain I got a targeted ad on TuneIn that suggested i "pick some up from" the specific branch of Tesco I go to. Not the nearest one to my home or work location, the one I get my mother's shopping from every week.

Been spending the day in A&E with my wife who did a number on her ankle this morning. Going to need pins in it.
At one point in a cubicle beside us a doc was talking to a lad who had suffered torsion of the testicle(s). I was trying hard to not pay attention.

Hope your wife is ok! Ankle break is bad news
did you pay enough attention to determine how his testes got torqued?

we were spared that detail thankfully.

yeah, the doc didn't have great bedside manner in the way he launched into the 'we'll have to put your leg in a cage if the swelling doesn't go down enough to operate'. the cage looks like a junior cert engineering project made with meccano.

I hope there weren't any rodents in the cage

not to be outdone by her daughter, my mother in law has fallen and gashed her knee so badly the vhi clinic has referred her on; for both internal and external stitching.

my wife, even though she has private insurance, has gone through the public system and so far the standard of care has been really good. she's in a big room on her own in what seems to be a brand new building in the mater. and the staff are really nice. i was trying to get them to eat the cake my wife had baked for her dad for yesterday which she never got to give to him.
