One of the most delightful moments in my musical "career" was at some AMC gig down in Limerick we had played with TRM, and some girl telling me that we had been way better than them ... the lads had played one of the best gigs I had ever seen in my life, so I didn't believe her for a minute, but took it to mean that she fancied me, and that made me feel very pleased with myself.

This stuff is and has always been close to the actual definition of music I absolutely and utterly hate. It was tough in the early 2000's when my Irish music choices were instrumental math rock, pretend folkie acoustic lads called Damien and The Revs.
