...according to a U.S. magazine called Decibel. They released a special edition that is cover to cover a rundown of their top 100 Doom albums. 50+ out of the 60 pages are dedicated to the 100 albums. Aside from a few Sabbath albums, Pentagram, Electric Wizard and such I'm pretty clueless to this type of music so its great to have a pretty solid (from what I can see anyway) list to inform me of other LPs worth a listen.

Mate asked me to email on the list. Didn't see it printed anywhere online, so might as well post it here.

Have heard 30 of them. No Sunn O)))? Seems strange. Also, the best doom album in the world ever (Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine's Rampton) isn't there. Haven't heard of a good few of them so maybe they're much better.

Allot of milestones for doom metal in there most of which would be fairly well known in the metal world. I think it is still a good overview of it maybe they could have thrown in a neurosis album since they have sleep and buzzov*en in there they could probably also put more kyuss type stuff in there like fu manchu but maybe there music is to fast for doom

I'm no expert on doom metal, but Paranoid is way better than the first Sabbath album.

One album is from 2014. I feel you'd need to sit through a few years of depression with a record to really evaluate a doom album.

Also, no Rose Kemp = NO JUSTICE.

Tiamat Wildhoney prob closer to something like a gothic or even death metal but still a good album by them with great artwork for it
