Yes please and guess what? I got me some broadband..yipee!Brilliant...good for you! Time to start a farming advice thread?
Go for it. You will have no regrets and life will start anew. Its kinda weird, almost like I have shed my city skin and feel like a completely different person. All good.Fair play to ya. Sounds brilliant there. We've a plan to do something simmilar. Keep on working for another ten years, to build up 3/4 of pension, and the house will be paid off in 7, so, just buy out a house or build maybe, depending on circumstances. Just get part time job out country till retirement age.

Good for you. Still waiting on eir for our upgrade for fibre. Almost 2 years now.
I'm actually considering getting rid of my broadband ..all I do on it is play chess and music and look at ads .I can do that on my phone.
In fact most websites look better on mobile these days
If you've got a decent mobile network there, and your contract allows, you can probably hotspot if need be.
Jesus christ, we're 20 mins from Dublin and can't even get 3G sometimes!
In Kilmessan, just down the road, they don't even have cellular coverage!!
We couldn't get wired broadband that was any use here in Westmeath so went with Rural WiFi. It's great.Kinda think over the next few years satellites and things are going to really erode the need for a wired connection outside of extreme weather events.
