The Peanut Butter Mystery (1 Viewer)

Did you ever mention peanut butter on thumped before this condiment conundrum?

Yes. I'm sure a few times as I do love it and miss it. They don't sell Peter Pan here and Peter Pan is what is on my desk. That's what makes it so odd yet super nice. Someone had to remember that and bring it back with them. Or knew someone going over and have them bring it back. I mean it's not odd to do, it's odd not to take credit. I mean I have brought back candy and other things for people I only kinda know... but I gave it directly to them. Baffling but sweet.

Aha! Didn't you bring back food from America for someone here? Peanut butter m&ms?

Yeah, but I asked him and he said no. Plus he doesn't fit the description given to me by the woman at work. Plus, he would have told me, not dropped it off randomly. I have gone over this a zillion times. I don't think it's anyone I've ever met in person.

secret admirer? how romantic slash creepy.

I don't think it's a 'secret admirer' or it was meant to be romantic or creepy. Honestly, I figure it was someone just trying to be nice and didn't realize the lack of note might make it seem otherwise. I mean creepy would be a videotape of me going about my day or photos of where I live, undergarments, or used Kleenex. Now that would be beyond creepy and cause concern. This was just peanut butter.

even i know where she works. heh heh heh. i presume i found out off thumped (or else i have no idea where she works...)

anyway, ive done some snooping around in the travel thread - dudley mentioned he was going to USA and jane said she was going in october but that date could be just to keep you off the trail. i'd start off by asking those two some tough questions, also do some more searching for references to USA, questions relating to US supermarketsm, that kind of thing. lets touch base again tomorrow and see where we are then

I thought, hmmmm, could it really be a lonely obsessive thumped stalker that did it. So checked your profile...It seems you have no shortage of stalkers Jill Hives (if that is in fact your real name)....

or taking photos of you in the airport. Maybe it was him.

Shaney stole my idea - check the travel threads and build up a list of suspects. Then interrogate them one by one by tying them to a chair, shining a bright light in their face and periodically beating them. One of them will admit to it eventually.

Otherwise you could contact US or Irish Immigration for a full list of people who have travelled between our 2 countries in the last 6 months. Unless of course they connected through another country, in which case you'll have to contact Immigration in every country in the world.

I can honestly say you've never mentioned that brand of peanut butter to me, so unless you can find where you've mentioned it on here, start wracking your brains to think who you might have actually mentioned it to.

Maybe somebody gave it to somebody to drop into your workpace, to throw you off the scent.

Also, back to CCTV. Talk to security in there. Tell them you're creeped out. They'll sympathise I'm sure. If not, start crying when you're talking to them. They won't know what to do and will cooperate to get you to stop.

It might have been Spencer. You never know. Actually, not knowing is probably better cos you can try and convince yourself it was him.
