Bodytonic’s Beatyard Festival returns in April for its 9th installment. Between April 24th & May 4th, The Beatyard will bring music, comedy, film, workshops, panels, food & drink and “random acts of nonsense” to venues like 3FE, All City, Bello Bar, The Bernard Shaw, Block T, The Button Factory, Copper Alley, Damson Diner, Dublin Flea, The Fumbally Cafe, The Grand Social, Indigo & Cloth, Lighthouse Cinema, Luncheonette, MART, Sugar Club, Tower Records, The Twisted Pepper, Wall & Keogh, Whelan’s, The Workman’s Club & more:
Last October saw The Beatyard make a big leap for its 8th edition with over 10,000 punters turning out for it’s week long duration across the multiple spaces and wide pool of events throughout Dublin city. Beatyard #9 returns in the same vein, 24 April-4 May, with the continued goal of making the bi-annual festival a collaborative music, media & cultural melting pot with the best creatives, doers & thinkers in the country. We’ve further extended the reach of venues (currently at 25 & growing) and range of events & skill sets. We’ve also divided the festival into three categories to make it easier to decipher. Firstly ‘Music‘, needs no explanation other than the fact that we’ll be covering a top choice electronic/hip-hop/rock/indie/folk/world sounds. Secondly ‘Show & Tell‘, which will include all our exhibitions, talks, workshops, film, comedy, meet-ups etc. Lastly ‘Food & Drink‘ an area which we’ll be greatly expanding with all sorts of markets, classes, tastings, presentations & cook outs. Beatyard is a Dublin city centre wide festival that aims to bring together enthusiasts of music, media & culture for one week where they can meet like minded people, discover something new all whilst having fun. Merging a selection of top local & international artists, musicians, foodies, bloggers, designers & party organisers, Beatyard is essentially a showcase of what some of Dublin’s finest creatives have to offer.
