I’m moving internally in work, as part of my career development. I asked for a promotion and they said I wasn’t ready because I haven’t built up strong relationships with clients. So I’m moving from the general pool with loads of different clients to working on one account. Pros are the team are dead sound and I’ll get ownership of jobs and more autonomy, cons are the client can be difficult and it will mean saying goodbye to leaving work on time for the most part. Hopefully I’ll do six months on this team then get the promotion otherwise I’m outta here.

This thing was supposed to be mandatory, but I always avoided it and used Excel instead.

An American colleague I skype with thinks I sound like Bono. In general I think they can't differentiate between the various Irish accents. To compare my accent to Bono is to compare John Wayne with someone on Jersey Shore.

I've reported him to HR.
