You could have. Mrs. egg_ is just (hopefully) coming out of yet another bout of weakness and occasional immobility, 4 years after she first had covid. Thought she was 100% better at the end of the summer last year (and at the end of summer 2022), but nope
That's not good at all

It's certainly not nearly as bad as your wife has, anyway. Mild fuggy headaches, tinnitus, phlegmy in the mornings. I assume the blood pressure is too, I don't know what it was before this started. But I'd been active enough with the cycling.

I had the 'Rona in early November, 2022. After three full months of not feeling better overall, extreme lethargy, breathlessness after trivial exercise, I went to the Dr. And ended up in hospital. The Dr there dismissed COVID as a factor but all I can say is I had no clear symptoms of the underlying issues, which may well have predated the bout of COVID, until I contracted it.

I don't know what, it any factor, stress played in these matters, but I spent the guts of two years before that convinced I was accidentally going to kill the person I care for, by shaking some rando's hand or whatever.

Here's the funny thing - I got covid in late July. But in April and may last year I had the same symptoms I have now, which lasted five or six weeks at the time. They're the symptoms covid brought back. And a friend of my wife had glandular fever last year with almost the exact same list of symptoms as me (but worse)
So one hypothesis I have is I had a light dose of glandular fever (if such a thing is possible) and then covid reawakened the symptoms.

i think i know now how they filmed the video for the angelus. every so often i stop what i'm doing and stare off into the middle distance as this monitor takes a reading.
I've had to wear one of these a couple of times. Really disconcerting when it kicks in when you go to change gear when driving

Beetroot juice is good for the blood pressure, my wife has been monitoring hers since we started drinking it, and it has come down. Seemingly it opens the blood capillaries, which is why they say also makes it nature's viagra. (no comment)

I'm sorry for you all, it sounds dreadful.
I honestly don't understand how I never got Covid.
Everyone around me got it and I flew back and forth to the states during major lockdowns.
I was working in a pub.
I have autoimmune issues and still never got it.
Bizarre.

I need to find some wood to touch.

That's one way to make office friends.

Jesus, man
I'm so sorry to read that

Glad you have each other to lean on

I give up.
I eat a lot no matter what.

I am not a foodie.
I hate oily food mostly because it is messy.
OK. Will leave it at that.
Anyone answering you here has your best interest at heart. They want what's good for you.

Not commenting on your diet specifically, but I knwo for me, that when I eat carb heavy it makes me lethargic, and also counterintuitively, I am also putting tons of potential energy into my body. And if I don't use that energy, it'sgoing on my gut as fat.
I love rice, potatoes and noodles, and bread above most things - but I am endeavouring to slowly work themn out of my diet and replace them with green veg - sprouts, cabbage, (cabbage is amazing sauteed) broccoli etc. And plenty of other veg.

What you absolutey have going for you is that you can stick to a system
Which means you can pretty much do anything

EDIT: I felt the side effects on meds I described were not being taken into consideration. Despite saying that multiple times.

i eat loadsa sprouts, cabbage, spinach as I said.

I have no idea what protein foods I eat
I eat meat, so I just presume it happens

We are all different
I have to try to avoid animal fats (for the diabetes) and pure carbs cos they will make me fat.

More than anything, I am striving for balance. Good nutrition and leaning away for what's not good for my needs.
