I think there are at least 7 solid bands on that list. I like what I like. I really hate the Decemberists though. I have from the first time I heard a song. Fans dressing like pirates and what not circa 2003. After they put out that semi shanty album. Worst shit ever. Stop singing, Colin. Please.

it was a very 1996 comment - placebo and trainspotting being the charting players at that time. i honestly detested the decemberists when i first got that album. i left it on my player because it was a good mate who recommended it. turned out i liked it then.
