that was one of the best gigs ive ever been to.
not much else to say about the flaming lips really.
it was my 1st time so it was probably increased ten fold.

there was 2 spas in front of me from boggerland who hadnt been let out of their shed in a while and spent more time having a lazer fight with some other yob up in the balcony.
i happened to notice glen spa hansard in the balcony. his smirk made me want to kill.

annuals were really shit. the bassist had a case of the flaming gays.
and if i blocked my ears it felt like i was watching maroon 5.

so who went both nights? which was better?

apparently sat was better. fuck that. still had a great time. they made Vicar street seem huge.great banter from them. believe in Karma & you'll get less upset bout Hansard. really great show. how was whelans on saturday?

yah i legged it after warpigs. got worried when drozd went off stage.
id spent any taxi money i had on a few pints.

They didn't play War Pigs on Saturday though, did they play bohemian rhapsody last night?
Think they only played about 12 songs on Sat, all the singles off the last 3 albums and 2 or 3 others perhaps.

Saturday was better I thought........but then, now I think about it, I had tired legs, a hoarse throat and the remnants of a hangover on the sunday....

We should count ourselves as extremely lucky to be seeing them at all in such a small venue though, been reading some comments from american fans on their message board bemoaning the fact they've only been playing festivals and enormodomes over there. Even their u.k. tour was in much larger venues than vicar street.......

Friends of mine went to see them in OK CIty for 10 bucks and it wasnt even sold out. Not sure the size of the venue but think its around the Point size outdoor.
