What type of music programmes would people like to see on TV? (2 Viewers)

Yeah, not genre based, but driven by a real love of music. Real music lovers don't stick to a single genre anyway. I think, too, if you look at that favourite-band-ever thread, a good proportion of the favourites-ever were not indie bands at all.

Music is a labour of love, and the programme would respect that, regardless of whether a band wanted to be famous rock stars. Some lucky people get to make a living out of it, but my ideal music programme would not pay very much heed to some universal marker of success along label/financial lines.

A programme I would really like would also not be afraid to follow tangents, look at social histories of music, interesting little stories that maybe aren't 'cool'.

My ideal music programme would be very much uncool and would not revere the haircut.

Again. What Vinnie said. Supporting Irish music is a good thing, but you'd run out of good material pretty quickly, and there would be a fair amount of turd-polishing.
