t'was good but could of done with some cgi.

rep etc. i will always love nature docs.
especially that one about giant hornets. that was like lord of the rings or something. jesus.

ok right.

that fungus that speads spores that attack ants and makes them insane gave me the fear.

the spores attack the ant. makes it go mad. it eventually dies and a new fungus grows in its brain. then a shoot bursts through its head. it grows for about 3 weeks and then explodes spreading spores over all the other ants....

thing is. the ants are wise to it now. when they notice that one of their mates has gone mad they pick him up and carry him really far away from the nest so he won't infect everyone else.

not only that, there are different varieties of the fungus and each attacks only on species of insect.

nuts.

i mean, ants.

Excellent, frequently hilarious. Likeable central character with Jerzy Stuhl playing the factory worker turned documentarian.

Kim Ki Duk film from 2001. Unexpectedly, this was powerful, disturbing cinema. Seemd to be influenced by Harmony Korine, but with much more of an emotional punch than either film he has made. Check it out.

three japanese high school girls and a korean exchange student need to learn three songs for a summer festival. the story doesn't get much more complex than that. very cute movie. slow to start, but the second half makes it worthwhile. the korean girl is from sympathy for mr. vengeance/the host and it said at the end that james iha did the music.

Mr. Vampire.

Shame the dub was so shit coz there seems to be a lot more going on (besides the fighting!) than I remembered from when I was a kid.

Was good.
