ATP Release the bats:

Fuck Buttons - Pretty decent.

Deerhunter - Fucking amazing, they are going to blow Whelans apart tomorrow

Black Lips - Shite shite shite.

Liars - Now consist of four members, are much more 'together' than before, but unfortunately didn't really seem the better for it.

Deerhoof - Didn't stay for all of the set, did what they do, seemed fun enough.

To sum up, Deerhunter fucking ruled.

Simple Kid
great as usual .I was very annoyed however, by a bunch of gobsheens sitting around tables.I think there should be a rule ABSOLUTELY NO SITTING AT THIS VENUE DURING SETS

That album is fantastic.

i have it but only listened to it once, but it seemed ok. the cover is brilliant, just like the scientist covers:

Thrill Jockey's Birthday (pt 1) last night.
The Sea and Cake were decent although a bit dull and lifeless they still rocked.
Trans Am were a bit funn. cheesey as fuck, but deadly performance and tight
as a duck's arse.
The Fiery Furnaces were meh. great performance but i felt the songs were weak and pissy.
great sound in Koko.
going to see Tortoise and Bobby Conn (pt2) tonight with tripoli. should be better. alot.

sweeeet. are you living far from koko? lovely venue.
em, bout 5mins on a bus then 10mins on tube so eh.. not really near but not particularly far. yea, great venue. loved everything about it except for the extortionate price of beer. £3.50 for a can of fosters.fuck off?. great place though. looking forward to more gigs there in future hopefully.

Yesterday:
Primordal/For ruin- in music center- all kinds of deadlyness.|..|

friday:
El Bastardo/Ill eat your face- in lower deck. pretty good

saw om and lichens last night. lichens was doing loops with his vocal and some electronics. om opened seamlessly into the end of lichens set, which was a really nice effect. serious bass and drum riffage. they were like monks or druids chanting at some points. very good
