Ukulele question (1 Viewer)

6 string Uke's normally have doubled first and third strings tuned in octaves (G CC E AA), you can tune it to a standard guitar tuning (EADGBE)

I never knew that, and I've had mine for over a year! It was tuned eadgbe when I got it and I never thought any different.. gotta try the proper one.

I never knew this either.. I'm a ukedummy..

"Zach Condon of Beirut (band) plays the ukulele as his main instrument, having been unable to play guitar due to a wrist injury that prevented his hand from reaching fully around the neck of a guitar."

I've Uke-Guitar which is like an oversized Uke but tuned like a guitar, sounds bleedin lovely. Never knew there was a six string Uke tunning.

I used to try play Ukele, I was awful at it, I thought the tunning was just bizzare and could never get used to it
