watched the last three episodes last night. i would also like to express my fondness for that particular finale. definitely wow. the slump after the killer was revealed was pretty low alright. story with james and the blonde, ben horne's backward recreation of the civil war and a few other things really dragged but really hit form running up to the last 5 or 6 episodes. quality stuff.

extras on the gold boxset are deadly. cant believe that frost and lynch were able to hide who killed laura from the cast and crew up until it went out. writing in bluff scenes to throw the cast off and filming three alternative killings of the maddie character. brilliant. present day david lynch seems genuinely distraught that the killer had to be revealed at all. just did a search for mark frost twin peaks and this came up,

it was on rte in 96/96, cant remember if it was on irish tv when it came out.

currentl;y watching it for the third time (last time was when it was on rte). got my hands on a chinese bootleg gold box set. nice.

Ya it was on rte when it aired originally, I can remember being allowed to stay up late to watch the last episode when I was about eight years old.

I only got into it when they showed it on Network 2 every Friday back in about 1996-7 on that show 'The End' presented by Barry Murphy.

Season 2 still hasn't come out on region 2 DVD has it? Is the only option buying the gold boxset?

I was very disappointed with the Finale.

i am not sure if it was because i didnt like the ending or that i didnt like that i knew i wouldnt find out more/be more episodes

was gonna get that, having season one on dvd already. for an extra few quid gold boxset was worth it though. got it at cd wow for £35 or there abouts before xmas. deal. spent 80euro on season one a few years ago. not a deal.

The pilot was shown on RTE 2 on a Sunday night. Think it was around September 1990. Season 1 started to air the following day and continued every Monday. Season 2 also shown on RTE 2 on Mondays in 1991.

my girlfriend got me both series for xmas/birthday - finished them
off at the weekend (and fire walk with me) - pretty intense couple
of weeks.

anyway - incredible show as you already knew! dunno how / why
i'd never seen it before. watched FWWM as well - didn't care much
for the first half hour. version we have has no subtitles, which
(according to lynch on lynch) he put in himself..so that's a bit of a
drag. avoid shitty cheap dutch version of that!
