There's another new comedy show starting soon on RTE 2 (next week). It's called working girls with Katherine Lynch. From what I gather it appears to be a sort of an Irish Katherine Tate show, in so far as it involves a girl called Katherine playing a number of stereotypes. I don't expect an Irish version of "Am I bovvered" to be troubling any playgrounds soon. Anyway, here's the synopsis from rte.ie

Female comedienne plays a variety of characters – Busty Lycra, Monaghan’s biggest porn star; Bernie Walsh, the biggest traveller name gigging on the Country and Western scene and Liz Hurley, part time GAA coach, full time immigration officer.

Busty Lycra? Bernie Walsh? Liz Hurley? If half as much imagination has gone into the script as has gone into the character's names, we are surely in for a treat.
