The Quinns & Cavan (1 Viewer)

The GAA issue communications every once in a while that members are not allowed use their GAA affiliation for political means. I'd be surprised if the organisation doesn't distance itself from the actions of some of its members.

Sean Kelly, that fucking Kerry prick former GAA president, who is a Fine Gael TD now, was there too. Ructions in Fine Gael soon too I'd say.

I'm a member of the GAA and fuck the Quinn cunts anyway.

No statement from them yet as far as I can see

Did you hear about the Cavan man who was depressed?

He went next door to gas himself.

(I first heard this told about a Ballymena man.)

so Sean Quinn gambled with his employees livelihood on Anglo Irish Bank Shares and they still treat him a hero? For ***** sake.
He has caused the irish tax payer Billions and some Cavan people treat him as a hero (and i think some cavan people are tax payers so he cost them billions)? for **** sake.

It's reminiscent of how Michael Lowry is always returned No. 1 in Tipperary North.
We really need to stop this idolatry that goes on with people like Quinn, Lowry etc.

I missed this...and highlights? Fisticuffs maybe?

No highlights really, but there was a general sense that Quinn is a little delusional about what has happened. He did admit to some mistakes e.g. taking cash out of Quinn Insurance to buy shares. But, he seemed to wilfully - almost genuinely - misunderstand the concept of putting up collateral as security for loans. He kept repeating the mantra that 'Anglo didn't contribute a penny for those assets', failing to acknowledge they were up as collateral. VB corrected him several times but it seemed to have no effect.

VB's comments after the interview were just as interesting. He said that Quinn, and his daughter and nephew who were present, were 'impressive' people and genuinely seem to believe what they are saying. There was also some last minute editing to remove some material, on legal advice. Don't think there's anything sinister about this, probably a fear some court proceeding might be prejudiced.

He said the legal concerns were to do with prejudicing the cases against former anglo staff.

What if Quinn was actually tricked by the Anglo lads? !ninjaaaa
