Portal is amazing but I just cannot get back into HL2 episode 1 and 2.
It just feels like I've played this game and as much as I loved it first time round I've never been one for replaying games. I feel a trade-in coming on as soon as I've finished Portal.

never played half life 2 so trying to get through all the games before trading in. HL2 at times is really really annoying. When you get the NPC's following you i wish you could just kill them off. They get in the was constantly. I keep having to remind myself when it was made though.

episode2 is supposed to vary the gameplay over ep0 and 1, haven't got that far yet meself.

Try Medic out as well, that way you'll get to learn a lot about the maps and the different tactics you have to use.
