I always liked the chalets. They were different than the usual Irish bands, very image based , very into the aesthetic but with had loads of great twee, throwaway indie pop tunes to back it up. Didn't really take though. Irish audiences are always enamoured with the drab, earnest singer/songwriter types.
I think they were ready to start on a second album but the lads were not as enthusiastic as the two girls. Maybe the lads felt a bit emasculated with all the fluffy pink heart imagery.
