Remember the hype leading up the hurricane that never happened? Barely a peep preceding today's storm. I've never driven in such windy conditions. Flying debris and trees and branches all over the roads on the way to work this morning. Woman dead in Clifden. Ploughing championship cancelled

It's way worse than the last time on Dublin's northside anyway. Trees and branches down all over the place. Apparently the Luas is fucked by an electrical cable on the southside too. So, back to the gaff for me (although I've got to head back out in a while for a doctors appointment). That poor woman, that's a terrible thing to happen.
