Real Life Book Club (2 Viewers)

Just to let you all know, the site will be up in the next couple of days. Apologies for it going down.

i'm going to try and make it to this, i can't find my copy of amongst women but i just took it out of the library and i reckon i can get through it in a week. i did it in college a few years ago too so i might try and dig up my notes and see if there's anything interesting there.

Eating treats that is, to help the conversation flow...
Maybe I can sneak some Prosecco into the Lord Edward, its so cheap to buy in Italy, and so yummmmy, I always lug as many bottles as I can home.

i'm nearly finished this now. liked it more than i did the first time round. though i wish he'd use more commas.

anyway i'll save it for tomorrow :)

So this is tonight :)
Hope to see some of you there, 8 o clock, upstairs in Lord Edward, otherwise it'll just be me and my sister and we'll have to talk about shoes and makeup all night...again...

How was this? Of course, my periodic reading of thumped means I'm only finding out about it now *sigh*. Can I come next month? !! ?

This was so much fun, thanks everyone who came :)
There was me, Bellatrix, Super Dexta, Brain Connife, and three other non Thumpeders.

We picked The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison for the next book. Next meeting will be Wednesday 7 June.

Thanks so much to Coraline for organising this and also for the yummy Italian treats :) .

Minister John O'Donoghue also wants to make it known that although he thoroughly enjoyed himself, going forward he'd prefer if we kept the smut talk to a minimum. Thanks.

nice! :D
yes, this was great, a pleasure to meet you all, and many thanks to coraline for the organising. i wound up talking about periods and pornography. which had nothing to do with the book. but i was amused, and maybe that was the point.
