Quotes from your child (1 Viewer)

Built a little model thing of the planets with him today (he recognised Earth straight away):

"And this is the planet Mars, you've heard of that one haven't you?"

"Yes. That's where you and Dad got married"

bit of a recurring theme here... asked her to tell me the story of the boy who cried wolf

"But I don't remember the start"

"Ok, I'll start then - 'Once up on a time there was a boy...'"

"and he said 'WOLF!'. The End. It's a very short story"

not from mine, but from a conversation one of the neighbours' kids who had a bag of sweets but wasn't eating them because there was gelatine in them:

"oh, are you vegetarian?"

"no, i'm pakistani"

playing some music yesterday...

"Daddy, who's this?"

"Mumblin Deaf Ro"

"rumbelin death ro? that's a weird name"

My six year old nephew was at GAA football camp last week, where they were being coached by one of the Dublin players.

Dublin Player: Do you want me to sign your shirt?
Danny: Wha? No way! That's me new shirt.

To me later, in a tone of disbelief: He wanted to write on my shirt!

Skype call with three year old nephew:

Him: It's a blueberry!
Me: No, it's a cherry tomato.

(This about 20 times and I'm thinking, kid you really want to play this game? Cuz, I'm gonna win.)

60+ times later....

Him: It's a blueberry!
Me: No, It's a cherry tomato.
Him: Okay it's a cherry tomato. [giggles]
Me: No, it's a blueberry.
Him: Is it a blueberry?
Me: Yes. [giggles]
Him to my mother: It's a blueberry!
Mother to him: No, silly it's a cherry tomato.
Me to mother: Alright so, gotta go have fun with that.... love ya! [click]

After being at a home for adults with special needs.

Lois: There was one lady there, and her back didn't work, AND her brain didn't work. So there was TWO things wrong with her!

Pointing to the lady at the cash register in Lild:

"She's like Gib! But where are her records?"

Lois, holding up this:
