While it could be down to the recession, it could also be down to the fact that a lot of people have done the dog with Primavera over the last few years and it now attracts ‘000s of Irish people – and do you really want to go to a foreign festival which is full of Irish people? On the last two years on the Thursday night, it was like being outside Whelan’s some of the time.

I love Pulp and would love to go to Primavera but am too poor. I saw Jarvis Cocker at a Bjork concert (watching Bjork, not doing anything else, though he did it well) and that is enough for me. Because I'm so poor.

I was amused by how my browser shortened the title to "Pulp reform, are playing" though. It sort of inspired hopes of it being closer to home, as well as the giggles I got from the utilitarianism of the statement. Pulp reform. Are playing. Anyway.

Anyone know of cheap flights, aerlingus and ryanair have them for around 230. Ebookers for around 150 but you have to stop off in frankfurt for a few hours
