Pulp reform, are playing Primavera (1 Viewer)

Hmm, for me this is still:

Pulp,

John Cale (who I don't listen to but probably should)

Ariel Pink (who I kind of preferred back when he was awful)

and a bunch of bands I don't care about.

edit: oh, and Suicide, who i'm not really pushed about seeing live in the year 2011.

I have to go to a wedding instead of this. I was really looking forward to caring about a similar number of bands as i is john and being surrounded by catalan women.

The full line up (i think) was announced today. Some good additions but not getting too excited about most of it to be honest.

Want to go now!!! Anyone got a spare bed/ticket/plane seat/fluency in the language?

although after what Jim Carroll said...

Jim Carroll said:
While it could be down to the recession, it could also be down to the fact that a lot of people have done the dog with Primavera over the last few years and it now attracts ‘000s of Irish people – and do you really want to go to a foreign festival which is full of Irish people? On the last two years on the Thursday night, it was like being outside Whelan’s some of the time.

sounds like it's no longer cool

Should a fella who'll be with a wife who hates "nonsense" consider going along to Einstürzende Neubauten?

Aside from the Pitchfork & Vice stages, the rest have amphitheatre stylee seats or some grass to throw your bones on. Might ease any music moanin'

I love Pulp and would love to go to Primavera but am too poor. I saw Jarvis Cocker at a Bjork concert (watching Bjork, not doing anything else, though he did it well) and that is enough for me. Because I'm so poor.

I was amused by how my browser shortened the title to "Pulp reform, are playing" though. It sort of inspired hopes of it being closer to home, as well as the giggles I got from the utilitarianism of the statement. Pulp reform. Are playing. Anyway.
